unable to uninstall Backup Exec remote agent

I'm having issues installing Backup Exec remote agent from a Windows Server 2003 box through the usual add/remove programs console.
I get error:

"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid"

I've had a scout around and there are various technotes that explain how to remove manually but most are rather confusing. Has anyone a simple process to remove?

Thanks for the info.

Looking at the first link the reg key does actually point to the install location which is strange (but it's not the X:\Winnt\Install\BE which is pointed out in the technote.

Ok so the above didn't although I'm going to try deleting:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\installer\Products\10A55C2358659574A8CDA75C2E1CFCCA4.

and reboot later after hours

Ran the backup exec remote agent installer once again, rebooted and uninstalled first time via the usual add/remove programs console. Full backup exec is installing fine.
