If you right click on an element in firebug you should get a menu with "Copy HTML" and "Copy Inner HTML" as the first two options. Copy HTML copies all of the HTML, Copy Inner HTML copies the HTML inside the element you right-clicked on.
To copy CSS from the CSS pane you can ctrl+click and drag (or apple+click and drog on a mac) to copy specific CSS.

I assume you're using Firefox? (Or perhaps Chrome?) If you're using firefox I would suggest an add-on (extension) called Web Developer. Along with many very handy options to help debug, it also lets you "view source" or "view generated source", I'm not sure if one of these will do what you are expecting?

Here's what I see when I right click in firebug:

 firebug right click
And here's the Web Developer options for "View Source":
 Web Dev
What is missing from View Source that you are seeing in Firebug? That might be a better question for me to ask.
