Show info from lists and views

My requirements are: we have many lists, and each list has different views, each with some columns or not

But on the pages, we might need to use the views to show the data, but the view  needs to be customized, because we might do it with a repeater, gridview or something else.

But I have never done this with sharepoint so I dont know where to start,  is there a webpart to extract data from a view, then render the data with a custom formatting?

Please guide me in the right direction

If you have the publishing feature enabled you can use the Content By Query Webpart often referred to as CQWP. It aggregates data from lists, and the format can be changed - though it's tricky at first.

Here's an example of customising what the CQWP shows;
