asus motherboard

i got an asus 97p55d, when i reboot the computer, after the raid screen, i got a black screen a nothing continu

to solve the problem i have to keep press f8 after the raid screen to get the windows startup menu and to choose start windows normally

how can i solve this problem

Hmm.   I'd probably start with running an SFC /scannow from the command prompt in windows, then I'd look at updating the video card drivers.  That's just scratching the surface though, because it could be any driver for any device that's causing it to hang.  You might want to go through each device in Device Manager and update them all.

How long have you waited after the screen goes black to see if something eventually comes up?  Try giving it a minute (or three) to see if anything happens.  Barring that, you can try updating your video card drivers (or rolling them back, if this is a relatively recent problem).

i got the problem since i got the board, for some reason we decide to keep it this way, if i let the computer running 3 , 10 minutes even 24 hours nothing change

can it be a bios problem ?
