Hello

I have a Dell Precision 470
In it there is a multimedia card;
Dell X5562 Revision A00

I cannot locate a device driver for this card anywhere, Dell support wont help as out of warranty and want to charge for assistance.

Hope someone can assist me with this.

Thanks in advance.

Dell Part # X5562
Dell Control Panel X5562 Precision 470 Front Audio I/O

It's an expansion card delivering Firewire/USB and audio ports to the front of the machine.  Not sure it's strictly a multimedia card or needs other than uPnP drivers. Is there a missing driver errror in Device Manager?

There are no drivers required for the front io panel. Dell never shipped this model with a multimedia card reader.

Info I missed out - the PC is using an XP Professional 64bit Operating System

Kidwell - I think so, but they are a good few years old now so cannot remember.

edbedb - tried that to no avail, thanks

Masqueraid - Yes have a missing device driver <Multimedia Audio Controller> and when I connect a USB drive to the front USB ports they don't work so it must be this device that needs drivers.
Windows updates dont find a driver for it.

"when I connect a USB drive to the front USB ports they don't work "

Does anything appear in the Device Manager when you connect it?

Thanks for that - I had tried the driver before but ran the setup program and it errored.
When I ran setup and then cancelled, pointed the driver at the folder with the extracted files in it installed correctly.

Thanks for everyone else's contibutions also.
