I have a new NS-120 that is setup with 1 CIFS server.  My backup system is a seperate Backup Exec v12.5 with an attached Tape library.  The backup system and EMC are connected via the network.  Can a NDMP backup be performed over the network?  It seems all the documentation mentions the tape drive being connected directly to the EMC system?

If you have a Powerlink account (powerlink.emc.com), if not create one and browse to the following section..
Home > Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Hardware/Platforms Documentation > Celerra Network Server > Maintenance/Administration

Find the following documnet - Configuring NDMP Backups to Disk on Celerra  6.0 A01

This has detailed instruction on how to setup NDMP for Symantec BE
