Is there a way to take a HTML document and have it formatted for a plain text file?  I have a HTML doc that contains a table and I would like to display that table in a plain text file.

Can this be done?

You can open it in Word or OpenOffice Writer and then "Save As" text.  You will lose all formatting and images but anything in text format will be there.

I think I'm out of luck...

Of course, if I could guarantee that the receiver had HTML translation in their email client, it would work...
