I recently created a new backup exec media server. I wanted a fresh start so I am not bringing anything over from the old media server. I have 3 agents I need to point to the new media server. How do I do that? Or should I uninstall them all and reinstall them all on the new media server?

Well, you mention a "new" 2010 media server. Were these using a previous version of BE? If so, then I would remove and push the agent from 2010. This way you are sure to have version matches and reduce the odds of any problems.

Plus, BE polls the clients and pulls the backup data, if you add them to the back on the new server, then they should backup without a problem.

I found the solution. Open the backup exec remote agent utility and on the Database tab click on the change settings. This will allow you to change setting in the utility. Click on the publising tab. Put in the name or IP of the new Backup Exec media server. Click Ok then check on the new server. YOu should be able to see it in the job setup.

I found the answer by playing around with it.
