Upon similar problems with different versions of Office and different programs of it, I've usually got it fixed by running the setup again and selecting a complete installation, ie. selecting all the available components to be installed locally.

I found the solution. It was a missing registry key. Everything works fine now:
It was found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914830/en-us
The key was:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\msaexp30.dll

Thanks
