I am trying to edit my webpage that I have vreated with Joomla but I just cant get some small stuff to work with the template I am using. I actually started this at the end of the project so I am trying to figure out how to edit the template. On the homepage some of the words are getting cut off on the right hand side. I was hoping I can just drag the line over to so that its not cutting some of the words off. This only happens on the homepage and its the homepage that I am working on, the rest of the site is fine. I am also trying to change the picture (banner) at the top of the page to include two more pictures but I cant find the original picture thats at the top. I have a limited knowledge in html so your help would be very appreciated. The website is http://lac-core.org/ and I will include the html as well. I am sure that is a easy fix but I am not sure what to change but I will try your suggestions.

Are you reffering to the CSS code? Which line do you see it on above?

Hi Jamar ronald... The reason for the right side text cut off is the image in the article. You have set the width of the image is
<img height="118" width="569" src="/images/stories/refflac-header-2.jpg" alt="refflac-header-2">

Reduce the Width
<img height="118" width="525" src="/images/stories/refflac-header-2.jpg" alt="refflac-header-2">
in the article or wherever you have inserted it. It will display correct.

Your problem is related to the image you have in the article itself. Change the dimensions of the image to below 540 pixels in width and your problem is solved!

Hi Jamar. Meenaxi is correct, if you change the width of the image refflac-header-2.jpg down to 525px, it will correct the problem. You would change this value while editing the article when you are logged into Joomla front or back-end. Your WYSIWYG editor may have a tool to change the properties of the image or you can switch to HTML view to find and change the value.

As far as the image in your header, you can do one of two things. You can download and edit the actually image file to include a second and third image (the image is located at http://lac-core.org/templates/123wd-j15-2/images/header_img_bg.jpg). Just increase the canvas size of the image horizontally and add the images you would like. Or, if the template has multiple modules in the header position, you can just publish a second HTML module with the image in it (extensions>>modules in Joomla admin panel).

Might I also suggest modifying the image on the right side. Use a png file format and delete the white space so it blends better with the gray background.

Good luck!

Thanks for the points jamar. Joomla is actually a very good Content Management System. It's developer community is very large and you can find all kinds of extensions to make your site even better. It will only take a little time to get familiar with it before you start liking it...at least give Joomla  a chance :)
