having a very hard time finding the windows installer 4.5, or 5.0.  What does it mean when it say redistrubitable?

The windows installer is already part of windows and is updated automatically by windows updates. You don't need to look for it

Also, I ran the MDAC_TYP as recommended.  It ran very quickly with no windows, I am wondering if it ran correctly?  Should it not come up to a wondow and say install?  It did not.

What about the Power Shell, do I need to install that?
