Oops!
We apologize; we’ve experienced an error trying to publish your site:

Error Message: Unable to connect to ftp server:ftp.sterlingbutterfly.com

Try clicking "Publish" again, and please contact support if the issue persists.

Above is the error I get. It maybe that I dont have the settings correct but honeslty have never done this before and have no idea what to do.

Please provide the settings that you are using.  DO NOT post the actual info, ftp site and password.  This is what I need...

Site: ftp.whatever.com
Password: <leave this blank>
port: 21
Any other settings.
Also, what program are you using?

If you gave me the correct domain name, the problem is not on your end.  The problem is ftp.sterlingbutterfly.com.  They are not setup properly.  More than likley it's a DNS issue.  Specifically, when I do an NSLOOKUP on ftp.sterlingbutterfly.com, it does not return an IP.  That means you cannot get to it.

Hope this helps,

Yes my domain name is sterlingbutterfly.com.

I am curious this issue did not start until I added photos to my website.  Once I tried to publish the site again it gave me this message.

Prior to this i was able to publish the site.

Something happend to the site.  It is not your settings.  You can go to a command prompt, start, run, cmd, click ok.  Black window appears, type NSLOOKUP, you will see one of these>  type in a good name like: www.sterlingbutterfly.com and you will get it's ip returned to you: 207.148.230.129.  This tells me the website is up.  However, if you type ftp.sterlingbutterfly.com, you get: > ftp.sterlingbutterfly.com
Server:  UnKnown
Address:  192.168.5.20

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    ftp.sterlingbutterfly.com

Contact whoever manages your ftp server and have them restart the ftp service or reboot the server.  The ftp service probably went down.  This should answer your question.
