address book issue with outlook 2007

Hi,

We have exchange 2007. few mail clients which use outlook 2007 are getting error mentioned below while manually downloading address book(tools- send/receive-download address book).

0X80130194: operation failed.

Please let us know how to fix the issue.

Are only Outlook 2007 users experiencing this issue or is everyone having this issue?

outlook 2003 users are able to download without any issues. Outlook 2007 users have the above issue

can you check the AddressBook distribution points please?
For Outlook 2007, Web Distribution should be enabled.

You would go to "Organization Configuration" > "Offline Address Book" > select the OAB that you want and select the properties.
Now go to the "Distribution"-tab.

Ok, but the distribution point ? is it set to Web-based as well?

Is "Enable Web-Based distribution" checked? If so, is there a Virtual Directory defined (right below)?

I dont see any distribution points. I see only polling interval in general tab and external & internal URL in URL Tab.

Where do I check the "Enable web-based distribution"?

Normally you should have another tab called "Distribution" it's on that tab that you'd see the distribution points.

So in the Organization Config, go to Mailbox than select Offlie Address book-tab and select the "Default Offline Address List" (or the one that's causing issues). Than select properties for that list and you should be able to see the distribution-tab.

Yes I found the option. The enable Web-based distributin is enabled and there is a virtual directory right below it.
