TlntSvr what is it?

I am recieving a warning then error related to TlntSvr

This is in my winlogon.log

----Configure General Service Settings...
      Configure WZCSVC.
      Configure w32time.
      Configure TlntSvr.
Warning 5: Access is denied.
       Error opening TlntSvr.
Warning 5: Access is denied.
       Error opening TlntSvr.
Warning 5: Access is denied.
       Opening service TlntSvr for stop access failed.

      General Service configuration was completed with one or more errors

What is the TlntSvr? and what may these issues be related to?

It is the Microsoft Telnet Server service.

You might want remove and then re-add this.

Cool thanks, I have it disabled as a startup Type in services. Would that be why I am getting the error or is there something trying to Log on with it since it was in the Winlogon.log? I notice that:
NT LM Security Support Provider
RPC
TCP/IP Protocol driver / IPSEC driver
are dependencies. I would rather keep it disabled if we are not using it.

It very well could be if it is disabled. I would remove it if you are not going to use it.
