FTP on a file server

I whould like to enable the FTP function on my file server
so i can upload files from any where
i am using a virtual enviroment
just a question is it ok to use it on a domain controller ?

You always take a risk having more access than necessary on a domain controller.

I would highly suggest staying away from port 21 and making it something random like port 21488.

Also, I wouldn't use the built-in FTP client that comes with most flavors of Windows 2*** Server.  I would, instead, use FileZilla for the server and client.  That way, you can enable SSL/TLS encryption and better security.

You are asking for nothing but headaches and virus intrusions going that route.  I would highly suggest that you don't.  Download FileZilla server, see how easy it is, give it a try.  It's completely free!
