if i use windows 7 and bitlocker, i don't need to use compusec?
i just need to encrypt my hdd

in short, yes if the intent is just to encrypt hdd. both compusec and bitlocker can achieve. you will not want to have double encryption and not advisable as it may conflict key loading. but do note go for tpm and pin for bitlocker - more secure option. if compusec support smartcard, it is preferred too.

note that bitlocker is available in windows 7 enterprise above. this would be a key factor if you want to activate it. also leverage on active directory for backup in bitlocker where possible.
