Hello all,

i have a strange phenomenon, hen users tried to access specific network drive (full of pictures) they generate poor performance and the drive open after 1 minutes or more this happen only from outlook when they tried to add file from this drive if thay access from other softeare or from my computer directly to the drive no performance problem occur.

Any ideas? We tried to use windows search in order to index the files but it’s not solve the problem

can you try disabling some of the addins in the outlook as you mentioned that user has no issue while accessing the drive and only incase of outlook this issue is there.

I am using outlook 2010 and the following two posts seems to have helped me also :) since i also felt that my outlook opens pics and PDFs a bit slower compared to other extensions.

What AV do you have ?

well almost you have tried all the options, the only last option is to get this issue to Microsoft or wait for the next service pack for office 2007. One more idea which is coming to my mind is can you download 2010 outlook and see if the similar issue is with 2010 too if not then i am sure Microsoft will take care of the issue in next SP.
