Adobe Flash Plugin causes IE to crash? Possible memory leak?

IE8 on Windows 7 6-bit adobe flash version 10,2,152,26 installed.

I've noticed that if I have an IE window open and I keep reusing it to load different tabs it seems to cause a memory leaks at some point. Even if I only maintain 3-5 tabs max after extended use pages start to flicker and adobe flash plugins no longer load and instead show a gray exclamation point. If I open a new instance of IE often, this does not happen. Any idea what causes this? This has happened throughout many versions of flash so i'm wondering if it may be a flash sites I happen to go to (AOL Radio) or some kind of memory leak in internet explorer or the adobe plugin.

I think this problem may be caused by your security software or some unwanted software at startup. First try to boot the computer in safe mode with networking. Check how flash website work in safe mode with networking. Try opening multiple flash websites.

If you do not want to boot the computer in safe mode with networking then try clean boot.
Clean Boot Process
Click Start-msconfig-click on services tab -put a check on hide all microsoft services and then click disable add. Click on startup tab and disable all.

Could be something wrong with the IE cache & addons. Reset IE.

IE / Tools / Internet Options / Advanced tab / Reset Button. Close IE.

Again IE / Tools / Manage Addons / Enable all stuff from adobe.

Check.

Ravi.

I have tried the above except booting in safemode becuase the probelm is something that can build up over days and I cannot work in safe mode for days. I have upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 and that seems to have resolved the issue.

Suggested methods did not solve my issue but are in fact logical steps to take should someone else come across a similar issue.
