Is the account you used to install a domain a/c?

are you using:
domain/username
correctpassword

?

The other thing to look at is if you are using a proxy server in your network - in your browser proxy settings specify no proxy for your SP site
Also add the P site tp teh Intarnet zone in IE

Hi,

I resolved this problem by browsing to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\BIN\psconfigui.exe" and run psconfigui.exe to repair sharepoint and everything is now working nomore access denied.
