MS w7 Pro crashes after updates
Hi, i have a W7 laptop that crashes after applying windows updates. On reboot it gets to 30% and then restarts and crashes. I have to then select repair then it all works again. I have tried repairing the install but it fails as soon as you apply windows updates again. it is on a MACBook Air all latest firmware updates etc. I am using bootcamp to get into windows and it has been fine until about 7/8 days ago.

cheers
I dont know why the debugging is taking a long time to show the results. I then used a non microsoft tool to find out the crash results which point to ntkrnlpa.exe.
What i think is first update your graphics driver. Download the latest driver from manufacturer website. Also check control panel-windows update- click update history and check which update is failing.
Till that time it will debug the dump files.

interestingly we rebooted the laptop and everything was fuzzy until 3 shutdowns and reboots. now aero is working and text is clear. Just finding updated drivers for the graphics card
ASKER
even though i download the drivers for the graphics card it says it cannot find any compatible hardware!
ASKER
silverlight update installed fine. Its any update related to W7.
post the model number and manufacturer name of graphics card.
You can download cpuz to find out the make of the graphics card. I think updating graphics driver should resolve your issue.

Thanks for all your help. I now know what the issue is just going to try latest bookcamp. Failing that i will need to use a mouse not trackpad!
ASKER
tried that not W7 unfortunately it won't load.
Contact mac they should have a resolution . If first level is not able to help then ask for tier2 mac support. Microsoft will not be able to help you on this issue. Can deleting old windows and then uninstall bootcamp. Install the latest bootcamp and then install windows 7. These steps should fix your problem.
