Hello

Backup Exec (version 11.0 d rev. 7170) reports successful restore without actually restoring anything. Attempting to restore email folder on server 2003 R2 64bit machine running exchange 2007. The job does give a byte count but the byte count is the same irrespective of the email(s) I try to restore. I am able to restore standard data but not emails.I have tried restoring from a different tape, still the same issue!

Any help will be much appreciated.

BE 11d 7170 had a lot of bugs.
Make sure to first apply the very latest service pack and hotfixes.

If this is just a test, then make a new backup after the updates and try to restore from that backup.

If after all updates, the problem is still there, try first duplicating the Exchange backup set to a B2D device (running a duplicate job to duplicate a specific backup set) and then restore the mail from from the B2D copy. This is a very common workaround for bugs in BE 11d that have been fixed in later versions.
