I have a SharePoint site named http://internal and the same site has an alternate access mapping of https://external for web access out site the office. Both site work fine except the external site will not allow you to upload multiply photos of any name. When you try you get this error
" Microsoft Office Picture Manager
The destination folder https://external/photo is not available. The folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server"

I can upload multiply document just not Photos.
I have went back though my alternate access mapping using this document http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288173(office.12).aspx
And everything looked ok just can’t find a solution

Are you using the standard ports? 80 / 443 ? If I recall correctly Picture Manager only works on those standard ports.

Thanks for the Post, I worked out the problem.
The problem was I had my site extended wrong.
I extended my site using an internal URL "http://projects" for the host header section when i extended the root site.
I Deleted the site and extended it using the external URL "https://projects.xxxxx.com" after extending I went to AAM and added the internal URL "http://projects" and everything is good.
