Outlook 2007 -- Import multiple email addresses into a Distribution List at one time. (That aren't already contacts)

Hey guys. We are looking to make a distribution list of several hundred email addresses for a specific client. We don't have them as contacts in Outlook and don' t need them to be.

We just want to be able to copy and paste 200-300 emails and paste them into a Distribution List.

Outlook seems to make this impossible, especially if they aren't already a normal contact.

Any way to do this?

MadGeniusInc, try this

1) create a semi-colon seperated list of the email addresses you want to add to the distribution list -- in a plain text file, Word doc, etc.
2) create a new distribution list in Outlook
3) in the newly created distribution list choose Select Members from the ribbon
4) copy the semi-colon seperated list of email addresses and paste them into the members field of the Select Members dialogue box (see pic)
5) give the newly created distribution list a name
6) save and close

I haven't tried this with 300 addresses at one time but worst case sceanrio is you can do it in blocks

Ah! I was errantly trying to put them in by separating them with commas and not semi colons (which completely made it not work). Thanks!
