Windowa 7 Update Problem
Hello
I am facing the following problem.
My boss computer cant install the update KB976902. While trying to install it through windows update or manual installation i am getting the error 80073712
I ve tried whatever suggestions i found on the net but didint work.
My last hope is to reformat it but i dont want to do it if there is another option that might help me.
If i dont install the above update i wont be able to install any future updates.

The WMI may be corrupt. Go to Start > Run and type in services.msc and press [Enter]. Then Stop the Windows Management Instrumentation service. Go to C:\Windows\System32\wbem and rename the Repository folder. Then Start the Windows Management Instrumentation service. Try installing the update again.

This will not F*** up my windows?
No, it will recreate that folder and its contents when the service is started back up. You may also want to perform a System File Check afterwards. Go to Start and type cmd in the Search field. Right-click on the Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator. Click [Yes]. Then type in sfc /scannow and press [Enter].
Run system readiness tool. I hope you have win7 32 bit. After running this tool restart the computer and then install the update.

Its windows 7 64bits i did it but didn't work

After running this tool upload the checksur.log. Dont worry small issue will get fixed.

I tried that too without any results.
Pl upload the two files

After formatting it everything works fine.
