Ok i need some help here, my company let our exchange guy go few weeks back and i need to restore a mailbox from august. All our backups are done by savvis and are tape  that they restore them to a space we provide. Now here is where im getting confused. The Store needs to mount inorder to export the pst yet the since this is a backup there is a live store with same name etc etc. How do i go about mounting this and exporting? do i unmount the live one mount the backup and export? or is there a better way to do this?

Thanks in advance!!!

Here are all the steps you need to follow: http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Working-Recovery-Storage-Groups-Exchange-2007.html

From RSG you cannot export directly to a PST file. You have to recover the e-mails to a live mailbox and from that one you can export to a PST.
