Left mouse-click not working on internet only

My left mouse-click does not work on my wacom or my laptop on the internet only (some ads will work).  I have run McAfee and Spybot virus scans, updated mouse drivers, updated to Explorer 9 from IE8 (did not work in IE8 either).  I can right-click something and open the file that way.  It works on the browser toolbar, just not on the pages themselves.  Any suggestions?

Have you tested another mouse yet?
I've resolved similar issues by verifying and updating my Java version. You might try that.

You might also want to look at the mouse Properties to make sure they are set correctly.

I downloaded firefox and my mouse works again so..... Is it java related or internet explorer related.  I have checked all my settings and I have tried different mouse.

I went under internet options in my internet explorer tools and then advance and reset everything and now it works.
