OSCommerce - understanding the STS

Hi Experts,

I am a php programmer and I am trying to tailor an OSCommerce system but I am struggling to get my head around it.

For example the file attached is for comparing two or more products.

When I remove all the html at the bottom, I am able to print to screen the details of the two products I have hardcoded in (the IDs are hard coded at the top of the file).

However, when I put back in the html at the bottom it uses the sts-template.html file but with no content being displayed.

When I try to echo any content in the html section of the compare.php file, nothing is displayed. The html displayed does not seem to use any html from the compare.php instead it all comes from sts-template.html

I don't know where this sts-template.html is called?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

compare.php
