I'm getting the error: 0x8004010F  The operation failed.  An object cannot be found. when trying to update the Offline address book.  I've searched and searched and tried everything I can find to fix it but it will not Update the OAB.  I've added the Host A record for Autodiscover.  

Here is the setup: Single Exchange 2010 server running on Windows 2008 R2.  I recently upgraded from an Exchange 2003 envoirment.  PCs are running XP SP3 with Outlook 2007 SP2.  OAB updated fine with the Exchange 2003 server.  I have since decommissioned it and it is no longer in the envoirment.  I moved all replications to the new email server.  Any ideas??

What happens when you run "Get-OfflineAddressBook" from EMS?

What about "Test-OutlookWebServices -Identity <someuser> |fl"

Also, can you browse to the OAB virtual directory on a CAS?  On a CAS, check C:\program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Client Access\OAB and get the guid (something like 45f2c3120-357d-2b00-bb2e-223fcabc3345a), then try to visit the OAB URL in IE:

http://<cas server>/oab/<guid>/oab.xml

The folder you listed in the path above is empty.  The only place I have an OAB.xml file is in the path below:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ExchangeOAB\28cf7f61-e7e7-40f1-99f3-affab88feb5e\oab.xml

If I type in https://mailsvr1/ExchangeOAB/28cf7f61-e7e7-40f1-99f3-affab88feb5e\oab.xml
I get: HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found
The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

If I run the command Test-OutlookWebServices -Identity <someuser> |fl  I get:

So using get-oabvirtualdirectory you should see where your clients are pointing to.  Could this be an internal/external URL or DNS issue?

If I try the internal address I get:
HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden
The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory.

If I try the external I get the page cannot be displayed.

Have you tried running the external URL from a machine outside your network?  The external address might not work from an internal machine.  Are you not running split DNS?

Can you reply with:
get-oabvirtualdirectory |fl

Then maybe we can try to compare that with the information on this page:

I'm not sure what the heck is going on but this just started working.  I made absolutely no changes.  I've been swamped and haven't had time to work on this and I come in this morning and the OFB is updating just fine....  Happy it's working but a little irked that it just started working.
