We are getting this exception in the server log. What could be the reason for this exception?

Well it seems that your blazeds Server cannot access the class definition that the AMF in your message refers to. I'd suggest to set an Exception-Breakpoint on "UnknownTypeException" and to have a look at what type BlazeDS is actually trying to instantiate.
