Hi,

I'm trying to get Offline file sync working on a clients laptop. It's been OK on another laptop on the network. The files are stored on a Buffalo link station NAS drive on the network.

When we start we get about 10000 errors all the same of the fies.
The error is:
"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

Note we have tried uninstalling all anti-virus and creating the following registry key

"
To disable oplocks on a Windows client PC (a Windows PC that accesses an embedded database table hosted on another PC), change or add (dword) the following Registry values:

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MRXSmb\Parameters OplocksDisabled = 1

From this this White Paper http://www.dataaccess.com/whitepapers/opportunlockingreadcaching.html
"

Any help appreciated.

You could first use process explorer to try and figure out which process is holding the file: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653

Never really sorted as client gave up but will clsoe the call for now. This would have been the step I tried next. Thanks
