How fo I connect clients to my VPN without the client connect package from SBS?

I have new server hardware that was reloaded with SBS 2003 from the original disks.  After loading SBS and setting up the server we updated thru SP2.  We tried to then activate the VPN but the RRAS wizard failed with: “An error occurred while creating the Connection Manager configuration package file. For details, see C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Support\rraslog.txt, and then rerun the Remote Access Wizard” After researching the error I found this relevant MS KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/897342.  I did not want to uninstall SP2 and hope everything else would work ok. Since I don’t have a Client Connection package, how do I get my clients connected to it? Any steps would be appreciated.

This happens when you install Windows Server SP2 without installing SBS Server SP1. You can install SBS 2003 SP1 (not the same as windows server SP1) over top of Windows Server SP2 without an issue. They co-exist. Once you get the SBS components patched up the VPN portion works fine again.

Good Call cqaliher. I did install SBS SP1 and it solved my problem.  The update failed looking for Sharepoint 2.0, we have Sharepoint 3.0 installed.  I had to also install the XP deployment package but it does not seem to have created any problems.
The RRAS completed and we are in process of testing it. Thanks for your help.
