We have data that is extracted from peoplesoft, and like to import into Sharepoint, so key players can access via SP.
Can this be done without third party software? Is it compatible?

Many ways to do that .

- Web part to PeopleSoft via SQL connection
- Web part to PeopleSoft via webservice  connection
- BDC (Business Data Catalog ,or Connectivity Services ) connection . then Surface the data  as a list.
- Custom Page with SQL or WebService connection to PeopleSoft , rendering the view as Dataview .

I cannot go in detail of how it is done but any developer with simple knowledge can do this for you.

Best of luck.
