HP software issue

Hello,

I have been trying to install the full solution hp 1522 printer software on several computers running "windows vista". The installation didn't install correctly so I wanted to reinstall it, you have to uninstall the HP software thats already installed their. I run the software and click uninstall it runs, finishes. I try and rerun the software and its saying the software is still, so this I click select parts to uninstall and it shows nothing left. Everytime I try and run the software it tells me I have to uninstall the old software first. Any help is appreciated I need this scanning software installed on 5 or so computers all having the same problem.

Thanks

I installed a network scan driver, and it didn't install correctly then it removed itself and all other HP software, then it let me reinstall the original software.

From HP:

This uninstaller utility will remove the HP all-in-one software from your computer even if the normal software uninstaller will not. Use this utility if you cannot uninstall the all-in-one software or cannot get it reinstalled successfully.

Hi.

I noticed it didn't list 1522 but hoped for the best.  It also does not appear to support Vista, as you say.  Looks like a dead end.  Sorry.

My next idea would be to look to see if there was an installer log file created when you tried to do the install that failed.  Maybe it has an interesting error message in the log file.  I believe that by default Vista Installer log files are stored in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\ but I may be wrong.
