annoying Verizon Family Protection (Mcafee) software that requires a password to remove,
which I can't figure out what it is. It is preventing me from going online.  Since changing Internet Providers,

I am not able to remove this software, it wants me to login as the Admin who installed the software,
and use the Admins password, I can't figure out what those are.

It runs in the system tray and launches at Startup.
I tried disabling it in the Startup Menu and it doesn't go away.
I tried disabling any service that states verizon or Mcafee and it is still there.

Please help.

Here's the page for the McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool (MCPR.exe): http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507  Read the instructions on the page.  The download link is in the middle of the page.

I wouldn't delete it, I'd certainly refund the askers points, but I'd keep the question here for future visitors as it's clear that the password has been set by Verizon and all future people will need to contact Verizon

The solution found by the Asker was:

"I had to contact Verizon to get the Removal code and password.  All set, thank you"
