I am new to 2007 and Not all that familiar with the old Data Access Pages.  I was recently asked if 2007 is capable of using or being used with a Web Service tool.

Sorry I don't not have much information so I am unsure what questions to ask?

There is so much similar terminology around now that you have to be certain what the question really means.

Taking your wording literally , it has been possible for several Access versions to use Web Services- this is nothing to to do with data access pages or indeed any web interface- it is just a connection to a web page that offers 'services'  via  a standard and defined protocol

See this link for how to do it..

I am just a little concerned that your colleague/customer has heard something about Access 2010 Web Databases and this relies on something called Access Services which is part of Sharepoint 2010.  This DOES provide a web (browser) interface to a database held in Sharepoint.  This is NOT available in Access 2007.

My understanding of Web Service Tool - is a tool that will allow multiple Software products to talk with each other without the use of ODBC's and other exporting and linking tools.

Thanks for your input.
