What is the proper image rotation speed on a website slide show?  10 sec, 15, 18? Any studies or good articles out there on this? Thanks.

no studies here . but that definitely DEPENDS on the situation. Often 5secs are to slow...so you better code the site like this that the user is able to set the speed in seconds.
