I need to edit a PDF document and do not own Adobe Acrobat. Do you know of a free tool which allows me to do this? I do not need the output in PDF.

Free Tool: ZipGrep

ZipGrep is a utility that can list and search zip (.war, .ear, .jar, etc) archives for text patterns, without the need to extract the archive's contents.

Thanks for taking the time to list the google references - I'd already received success with the first.
