Why does my scanned PDF print out blank?

I have a hard copy of a document that I've scanned to create a PDF.  Whenever I try to print the PDF to our HP LaserJet 3800, it comes out blank.  If I check "print as image" under the Adobe Reader Advanced printing area, it comes out fine.  It also prints fine if I send it to our Konica Minolta BizHub C451 (PCL).

This happens sometimes with PDFs, especially with non-PostScript drivers (you are probably using PCL6). I would suggest installing the PostScript driver for your printer, from:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=500936&taskId=135&cc=us&lang=en&prodSeriesId=500934&prodTypeId=18972

If you are using PostScript, try the PCL5 driver from the same link.

Hi hdhondt,

The PS driver worked like a charm...thanks!

Just to clarify for anyone else having the same problem, after further testing, this appears to be happening in Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard.  Adobe Reader 9 seems to print out the PDF just fine with both the PCL & PS drivers & without "print as image" selected.

Thanks again
