During an EE search through knowledge base I found a solution writting by EE Genius, tbsgadi, who suggested to grant the Read & Execute permission to the Network Service account on the performance counter.

I was wondering how to do this?

Thanking you in advance

Many thanks for taknig the time to reply to my question. I greatly appreciate it.
The specific events are related to MSSQL$SHAREPOINT and MSSQL$SBSMONITORING.
I noted the dependancies wiithin the Services console and applied the appropriate rights, however, it prevented the services from restarting.

on the link above it describes those two as being fixed by:

- Counter: MSSQL$SHAREPOINT and MSSQL$SBSMONITORING - Inspired by PaulD's solution and a newsgroup post, I did a search in "program files" for sqlctr80.dll. I found two copies, one for each MSSQL instance listed above, in the following locations:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$SBSMONITORING\Binn
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$SHAREPOINT\Binn

For each file, I modified the Properties, selected the Security tab and added "Everyone" with "Read & Execute" rights. My application event log stopped recording these events immediately.
