IE Version 7 - as good as 8?

version 7.0.5730.13CO - is that as good as basic features as version 8. Could there be any benefits we may miss in terms of functionality by not upgrading to version 8.

the application we use are certified for both v 7 & 8. if we can keep 7, it is fine, but if we have to  upgrade to 8, we just need to know so.

If you have several users, test it first on one pc to see how it works. I don't think you're missing much by not upgrading. Personally I prefer v7 as it seems to be more stable.
