is there a study that tell what % of the above list of technology is being in usage right now in the industry for tape usage.

Careful of the dates!  One of those articles is nearly four years old; the other is 10!

The low one-penny-per-gigabyte price of IBM and Fujifilm's latest tape formulation will likely keep magnetic tape cost-effective until denser optical disks are developed. Today's densest optical disks are Blu-ray, which stores just 50GB. To store the equivalent of one 4-inch tape cartridge holding 35TB (35,000GB) would require 700 Blu-ray disks at about 30 cents per gigabyte.

In the non mainframe marketplace LTO is king, its seen off numerous competitors including DLT.

DDS/DAT - Humm, sorry its still hasnt thrown off its reliability issues of previous generations for me.
