How to get a Black Armor Nas 110 install disk

Hi,
I have a Black Armor NAS 110 1tb external network drive (howz that for a complete description eh?)

Anyway, I am getting ready to throw it into the lake.

All I want to do is to reinitialize it and start over.  However, I cannot find the original installation cd.  After going to the vendors website and hunting around for something I could use, I downloaded (what I think to be) a IMG file for the install cd.

I burned it to a cd and now I have the IMG file on the cd, but assuming this is right, now what do I do (with the IMG file)?

Or is their an easier way - like somewhere to down load a NAS 110 Install EXE file?

I am assigning this 500 points because I have been paying $9.95 a month since before the invention of the abacus and therefore, Points are of no concern and I can give them out like candy.

Seriously though, this is a great forum and it is one of the best $9.95 a month I could pay.

Thanks in  advance,

Bob

Just curious.  Did you download the BlackArmor CD ISO Image?
If you did download the ISO image did you copy the file to the CD?  Or did you burn the image to the CD?

What is the name of the file you downloaded?  When you burn it to the CD there should be more than one file on the CD after it's burned.

First, thanks for responding.

Here ==> http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?locale=en-US&name=blackarmor-iso&vgnextoid=da54bc243a520210VgnVCM1000001a48090aRCRD

is the complete nas 110 install cd web page that looked like what I needed but I could not see a DOWNLOAD icon.  I submitted a response to them telling them there is no DOWNLOAD LINK.

I don't think you want the firmware cd either.

I can't find the link to the download either.  The website indicates, "If you need to obtain replacement software for your hard drive, contact Seagate Technical Support by email. Please include your product serial number and your mailing address when contacting Technical Support. The software will be provided as a special download link in the response email to you".

So, and I'm not sure of this, but it looks like you might have contact them and request the software image and then they will email the link to you.

Then burn the image to the CD.  When you burn the image (don't simply copy the file to the CD) you'll have more than one file on the CD after it's burnt.

hi bz43.

I submitted a request to their tech support.  I will let you know how that goes.  Thanks.  You will get the points when I am up and running, as the re-install could either be smooth or bloody and I might need some additional advise from you, ok?
