Does anyone know how to make the 2008 server backup work with a tape drive (DAT40)?
The existing backup does not find the tape drive.
I loaded a trial version of storageworks and that works fine.  I don't want to spend $1000. on the software.  Suggestions?

2008 Server Backup does not support tape drives. But you can try this:
http://www.microsoft.com/systemcenter/en/us/data-protection-manager/dpm-2010-overview.aspx
for a 180 day trial of Microsoft Data Protection Manager
