Hi Experts,
we have running BackupExec 10d.
Now we installed a new version on a new server. We want to use BE2010.
Can I import all my jobs and the catalog from 10d to BE2010 ?

You can transfer between the same version to different computers bit I am not sure if you can do it between different versions.

If not install the same version on you new server, import/transfer the data and then upgrade it.

See here for how: http://tonnanie.wordpress.com/2009/07/24/how-to-move-backup-exec-for-windows-servers-from-one-system-to-another-with-the-same-or-different-computer-names/

Can you explain why you chose that answer when the answer I gave you said that between versions probably wasn't possible which is all the link you selected as the answer says!?

I then provided a link to a guide saying how to transfer between the same version.
