Hi there!

You've indeed established a MX record; but somehow no connection to the referred IP is possible over port 25.

Can you make sure that :
- you forwarded TCP Port 25 to that server (or from to a mail filter)
- the MX-record is correct?

Thank you!
Can you confirm what you are running? The question title says Exchange 2007 and the question itself says windows 2003 SBS...

DNS changes wil take 24-48hours to take effect. Check your MX/DNS config from www.mxtoolbox.com and see if that website can talk to your server (open relay test)
Update to my post before:

Sorry,

SMTP traffic seems to be all fine (ran a test from mxtoolbox.com).

Can you post the NDR that you are getting when trying to send an email to your domain please?

Thanks!
OK, first of all, your MX record is using an IP address, this is non-compliant, you should only use an A record (it's all detailed in my article)

There seems to be numerous DNS issues, this is probably your registrar causing this problem but it shouldnt effect your email.

Fix the MX record.
Yes It was my mistake We have Exchange 2007,
I did check as per below
At the command prompt,
Telnet 59.90.141.112 25  I am getting reply Hello from Mail Server

But I am unsure about Mx record

I have explained MX record configuration requirements in my first post, it's also explained in detail in my article.
Ok I will let u know in 30 min, I am going through ur article
Can u please suggest for step 2, I need to assign Local Server IP or my Static IP ?
Step 2 should be your external IP as found in step 1.
I have done as per ur Article but same issue yet
your DNS report is still showing the old configuration, it can take a few hours for the changes to take effect.
Hello I am getting below error on server by NSLOOKUP

Dear I am doing change On my Local server, It's updated i think
you need to make the change in your EXTERNAL DNS! Like it says in my article.
Can please suggest how did check my DNS Report ?

Please let me know, I think It should be Update quickly, Maybe we are wrong
you can use www.mxtoolbox.com, it's still showing an IP address instead of a hostname.

http://www.mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=mx%3ainnlinktechnologies.com
Thanks its not resolved yet .......I will contact you again.
Hi,

Now Its showing FQDN on www.mxtoolbox.com, but have same issue yet
The one with just an IP address needs to be removed.

I will do done further tests shortly.
OK, first thing you need to create an A record, as it's SBS call the A record remote.yourdomainname.com (replace domainname with your actual domain name)

Then confivied your MX record to use that record (delete the others).

This is all detailed in my article I posted in my first post.

Then, make sure port 25 is being forwarded from your router/firewall to your SBS servers internal IP address, currently port 25 is not open or if it is it's not being forwarded to the correct place.

If you have port 25 open and forwarded tithe correct place then is likely your ISP is blocking port 25.  Goto http://canyouseeme.org and check
My internal Server IP is 192.168.0.2
Public IP is 59.90.141.112

I did create record as per below
 Record A  innlinktechnologies.com  59.90.141.112
MX   mail.innlinktechnologies.com  59.90.141.112

also I did Check I am able to access telnet PUB IP 25
Still have same issue, just remove another entry from External DNS, need to wait for 3 hours
Now it's fine  from Hosting Server  also I did  add innlinktechnologies.com as Authoritative...  as per your suggestion but still have same issue
Is it must if I have SBS 2008, I have to confgure it using SBS Console  only ? Do I need to do any thing in my SBS Server (DNS) related settings...Kindly suggest.
Because Everything is being proper, Even then I am not able to recieve mail.
Mx record at hosting side is proper.
Ports are opened for Public IP.
Now what could b the problem ? Kindly suggest
>>Is it must if I have SBS 2008, I have to confgure it using SBS Console  only

Yes, you must use the wizards, this will ensure that all proper settings are configured, SBS is designed to be managed with the wizards.

I have just done a telnet test on your mail server and it would appear that @innlinktechnologies.com is not an accepted domain, have you completed the Setup Your Internet Address Wizard in the SBS console?
I have configured Internet address wizard its showing these ports are not opened as discuss with ISP for modem the port are open do I need to open ports for local IP / Public IP as I  have done port scanning for Public IP its showing ports are opened.
Do I need to configure SMArt host also using wizard ?

Screen shot is attached
Untitled.png
You don't need to configure a smarthost unless you use one.
Those ports need to be manually opened on your router if they are not already?
Mxtoolbox.com can talk to your server, so you just need to do some send testing to it from an external account...
I tried a telnet test MegaNuk3 and it was clear the internet address wizard hadn't been completed.
This will resolve the problem
Or check the authoritative domain list like Alan has said...

Do EMS:
Get-acceptedDomain |fl
And see if innlinktechnologies.com is listed at all. It should be there as DomainType=Authoritative
The wizard will do that! Remember, this is SBS!!
Sorry, I don't touch SBS much/at all as I tend to perform work for customers with over 1000 users... ;-)

Does the wizard show the accepted domain list or just set it for you? I thought it would only do the latter, hence my powershell post...

I am not fishing for points on this question, I just want the problem resolved.
When using the SBS the wizards will configure Exchange.  If the wizards have been run the accepted domain will be added.
Yep, I get that the wizards should configure everything for you, but it sounds like that wizard needs a new wand... ;-)

If the wizard fails to complete, then you can configure things manually like all non-SBS admins have to...
You can bit it goes against best and recommended practice.

I've never seen the wizards complete and not do what they are supposed to.  The fact the question came up regarding the ports above indicates the wizard hasn't been completed previously.

Most if not all configuration problems with SBS are caused by manual intervention and/or not running the wizards.
@vikrantambhore - what SP level of Exchange 2007 are you running? It might be time to install SP3 if you haven't already done so.

If you can't tell then tell us the version of exsetup.exe on your server
MegaNuk3, I think you are now clouding this question with unnecessary suggestions, there is no reason why this shouldn't work without installing SP3
Well, so far that wizard hasn't worked has it? Do you know anyway of sorting out wizards other than installing service packs or doing manual config? I don't...

I will leave this question alone now for vikran to make some input/progress.
how do we know the wizard hasn't worked? The last author comment was http:#35107099 where they were running the wizard and asking a question about a warning they received?
We have not received any post form the author since this.
Probably because everything is working now and the author is off celebrating ;-)
you mean because they ran the wizard? ;)
Yes, they pressed "Finish" on the wizard and everything was good in the world ;-)
Thanks for your comments.

Error is there only , I thought you closed this question so I didnt reply....
I am configuring it through SBS console wizard > interent Address  Manage > Its configuring every thing but showing ports are not opened .........Other way than it .
Domain is authorative.
Ports are also open .....Getting confused now what to do

Can I get Step by step solution so we will  do it step by step...
The error is saying the wizard cannot open the ports so you will need to do it yourself.

Make sure at a minimum ports 25 & 443 are forwarded from your firewall/router to the internal IP address of your server.

Goto: http://canyouseeme.org and check if port 25 is open.
Its showing ports are open ......Except 443.
443 is not open I wont b able to use OWA right ? So let it for now, suppose I dont want to use OWA.

SMTP , POP3 , Telnet IMAP these ports are open.
So goto http://www.mxtoolbox.com enter your domain name and do an SMTP test.

Check what IP it's configured for.  Goto http://whatsmyip.org from your server.

Do the IP's match?
Yes It do match .
Its connecting to my server, but showing unable to relay. Now

HI What happen no reply ?
"Unable to Relay" is good news, it means that external Internet servers can't relay off your server to other domains I.e. Spam other people from your server.

Can you receive normal mail now?
Hi MegaNuk3,

Thanks for your reply, I can receive & send mail on Internal domain ? it's working fine
We are unable to receive mail from external domain like Yahoo & Gtalk, but we are able to send

U said  it means that external Internet servers can't relay off your server to other domains

So please suggest me what should we do now for fix this issue,

Please help I am out of track

Vik
You DO NOT want people relaying off your server.

Try the SMTP tests on www.testexchangeconnectivity.com and see if that can communicate with your server.

If you send an email from gmail or yahoo to your email address what NDar (non delivery report) do you get back?
OK Thanks,

I did SMTP Test on above mentioned site, Performing Outbound SMTP Test ,  The outbound SMTP test was successful, but getting below error while testing Inbound SMTP, also I have attached NDR (non delivery report) when I send an email from gmail or yahoo
