SDS not providing decoder for the data set in SAS

Hi,

I have an error occuring when I run a simple data step in Enterprise Guide:
data foo;
   X = 1;
run;
SDS failed to provide the decoder for the data set. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

I have to run proc print in order to generate data output and can not do it by default (get the error listed above)

Hi LuckyLucks,

SDS is SAS directory services and is concerned with connection Enterprise Guide to the host server.  Part of thei process uses a product calles "SAS integration technologies".  One possibility is that the licence on the server for some of the components incl integration technologies may have expired and no longer work.
Then again a local file may have been corrupted/deleted etc.  Does
C:\Program Files\SAS Institute\Shared Files\SAS Directory
Services\SASDSLV3.dll
exist?

Are you using an EGuide repository? if so is it correct?

Can you say what type of client you are running (EGuide version etc) and what host you are trying to access?
