how to speed up or slow down playback audio file in flash while maintaining pitch (timestretching)
Hi,
I am looking for some tutorial, tips or even find out if it is possible to do the following in flash or action script.
I like to create a flash application that allows me to playback an audio file at various speed while maintaining the audio pitch; his is also known as timestretching. The audio file is basically a music rhythm and it could be a wave file or MP3 file or any other file format for that matter. User needs to be able to playback that file through the flash swf file and be able slow down and speed up the audio file using a dial or buttons without changing the audio pitch. There are commercial softwares that do that. Here is an example of it:

The question I have is if it is possible to implement something like this using flash and action script.
Thanks for any advice/tip/tutorials/docum entation on this.
