Hi There

I have a database in a dev environment that I have full access to and admin rights ,I also have another database in live environment that we only have view permissions on.

I am looking for a programme that I can use to compare the two database and that will generate update or create scripts so that I can give those scripts to the network administrator so he can run them on the live environment.

I am not to worried about the data all I am really interested in is updating the changes made to the tables and stored procedures. As well as creating any new stored procedures tables or views.

I dont mind buying a programme or using a free programme

Thanks
Stanton

Hi,

You can use Visual Studio's Compare Schema option or you can download SQLDelta from
http://www.sqldelta.com/
Both works the same way. I have used both and works great.

Let me know if you need more help.
