TSE Licensing in Windows 2008

Hello,

I have 2 2003 TSE Servers each one with 10 user TSE CAL. Each one is a TSE licencing server

I added a new Windows 2008 TSE and when I want to point to a 2003 licensing server it tell me that the 2003 Licencing server is not good and the 2008 server cannot install any TSE user CAL
All my TSE CAL are in the 2003 servers and I cannot use them in the 2008 TSE

Any solution ?

Thanks

To run a W2k8 Terminal Server, you will need a TS Licensing Server running W2k8 as well as W2k8 TS CALs.
The TS LS role can be added on the W2k8 TS, but you will need to acquire new TS CALs; W2k3 TS CALs do not enable/allow you to access a W2k8 TS.

Thank you
I just purchased 10 TSE user CAL (installed on the 2003 server). I think there are the same Microsoft part number for 2003 CAL or 2008 CAL. I would like to "uninstall" 5 TSE CAL from the Windows 2003 licencing server and "install" these 5 CAL on the 2008 TS LS
Is is possible to transfer 5 (or 10) CAL from a 2003 licencing server to the 2008 server ?

Thanks again

Not without calling the Clearinghouse (it says W2k3, but the process should still be the same):
