Sharepoint 2010 search database corrupted

My search feature stopped working on SharePoint 2010. I found that my Search database was corrupted via SQL Management. The repair didn't work so I removed the Search Service Application via SP Central Admin.
Now I need to add a new Search Service, but I can't figure out how to. I would like to use Fast Search 2010 for SharePoint that I just installed, but can't figure out how to add it in Central Admin.

"ACH1LLES:
Application Management - Managed Service Applications.  THen use the drop down "new" menu on the left in the ribbbon. "

I just found that and trying it. It has been "Processing..." "Please wait while your changes are processed." has been going for about 20 minutes now. I'll let you know if it solves it.
Thanks
It takes some time. But sometimes when recreating the search app it just hangs. This is because the topology of the old app never gets deleted completely, in my experience. Let me know if it doesn't finish. .

It didn't and won't delete the old "Search Service Application". Should I worry about that? Will it cause problems?
Won't cause problems as long as it doesn't have scheduled crawls that are kicking off, just sloppy to leave it :)
